Day 91 !!!




Well today marks the final day and the completion of this journey !! WHAT A RIDE !!

P90X REALLY WORKS!

As you can see from the photos there is a night and day difference!. A few body facts:

- I weight 1 kg more than when i started.
- I added 1 inch to my arms
- 2 inches to my Chest

DAY 90 !!!!

Well today is my last day...well tomorrow is official photo day so i suppose then would be the final but i just completed my final workout (Yoga) and have my carb up day ready for photo day tomorrow.

I really couldnt be bothered starting Yoga this morning. I think because i knew it was my last workout and it was also the longest i was hesitant to start. But once i got going it was great. Probably the best Yoga i have done for the whole 90 days. I didnt feel tired i really pushed my self and the poses were all perfect.

Day 89

ONE MORE DAY !!!! i cant believe its almost over !! it only seems like yesterday that i began this crazy journey which has taught me so much about nutrition, training and lifestyle. i cant wait to begin my own journey.

Any who, today was Core and it was again FANTASTIC !! what a way to finish. i have the best pump, i was feeling great and i finished covered in sweat. soooooo gooood...

Tomorrow is my big carb up day along with my last ever workout for p90x, Yoga X. Bit of a shame it has to end with Yoga but any who, going to go out with a bang none the less.

Day 88

Well today was X Stretch which was my last one of these aswell. I was feeling pretty sore and stiff before i started and didnt really have the energy to even do the stretch workout but i pushed play and got through it and now feel 100 times better. The Stretch always seems to make me feel much better.

Tomorrow is core again which i cant wait for and its my last one of these aswell so im really going to push myself as much as possible. Then just Yoga, Carb up and then im finished !!

Day 87

Well today was my last Kenpo X and my last fasted workout. Because of this i really pushed myself today. i was in the biggest flop sweat and was drenched from head to toe. This felt great and i really did push myself beyond what i thought i was capable. I used the hand weights again to make sure there was a bit of resistance in the workout and my arms were on fire 10 mins in.

Tomorrow is just a stretch day which will be nice then its back in Core which i cant wait for. I cant believe i only have 3 more workouts and then im finished !!...

Day 86

Well today was core synergistics which i LOVE. its a shame its only in the recovery weeks and you dont get to do it more often. It really is a great workout and makes you feel fantastic afterwards. I think its so great because it incorporates a bit of everything so you get a great upper body pump in the chest, shoulders and arms from the lifting and you really burn alot of calories form all the jumping, moving and fast paced interval training that you do.

All in all a VERY successful workout and i am really looking forward to friday which is my last one of these. Tomorrow is Kenpo which is my last Kenpo. Kinda happy about this. Its probbly my second least workout because im not a huge fan of martial arts and stuff so it feels a little dorky.

Day 85

Well today is the first day of my final week and my recovery phase for stage 3 !! It started off with Yoga X which went really well today. I was very focused and determined to give it my all. I pushed myself and the moves are all pretty straight forward now. I am smashing crane now and wheel which i am holding for the whole time so im stoked.

Tomorrow is core synergistics which is my favoite workout of the recovery week and i look forward to doing it twice in the week. Im going to lift very heavy and use weights on the push ups to make sure i retain as much muscle as possible on the final week,

Day 84 - Week 12 Complete

Well today was X Stretch which was again MUCH needed. i enjoyed just taking care of myself and stretching out my sore muscles. It is now the end of all the lifting and intensive phases. I now only have my recovery week and i am finished !!

Day 83

Well today was Kenpo X which was fasted again. And with the lower calorie iet i am really feeling the lack of energy. I still pushed myself but i just didnt have the focus and determination. I think because im all so close to finishing i can see the end and want it to come.

Day 82

Well today marks the last day of Legs and Back and the last Ab Ripper X of the 90 days! They both went alot better than i was expecting. Being on a low carb / low calorie diet i was expecting my energy and strength levels to be low but surprisingly i pumped out more pull-ups than last week with much better form and maintained my weight on squats and lunges while still doing curls and hammers.

Ab Ripper X was good aswell once again i kept up and did over 350 moves. Tomorrow is Kenpo which is again fasted. Its my second last Kenpo.

Day 81

Well today is day 81. With 9 days to go i have begun a lower calorie, very low carb diet to try and get as much body fat as i can off. i am now around 1800 calories a day which is mostly protein and fat and so far so good.

It was also Yoga X today which was really good. i was extremely focused today and my mental focus was the strongest it has been during Yoga. I really pushed myself and i feel great now. Very relaxed, stretched, calm of mind and ready for tomorrow's Legs and Back. Hopefully the low calorie / low carb diet doesnt affect that workout to much.

Day 80

10 DAYS TO GO !!! im in the final countdown....no more double digits..

Anywho, today was Back and Biceps. Last one ever again. I got the best pump from this workout. largely due to my carb up yesterday which just fill my muscles to their peak. It was fantastic. i pull out the most reps i have ever done and the most pull-ups i have ever done so i am stoked as !!

ARX was great again too. My second last one of these and once again pumped out over 350 core / ab crunch moves. I was again faster than the video :P which was great and i am so pumped and ready. BRING ON YOGA !!

Day 79

LAST DAY OF PLYOMETRICS !!!!!

thats a nice little sentence right there !! i think because i knew it was my last i was pretty lethargic and didnt really push myself that hard today. i really dont enjoy that workout to much because its just throwing yourself round aimlessly to burn calories. Sure it does help with agility and balance and coordination and what not but so does doing the beep test and other real word things ... i mean go out and play football...

Anywho that sounds really negitive and it shouldnt, it was still a good workout and at the end of the day if i burnt some calories and fat then i succeeded...

tomorrow is Back and Biceps and im really looking forward to pushing as much weight as possible tommorow for my past one of these.

Today is also carb up day so adleast i can njoy some nice carbalicious meals :P...

Day 78

Well today was my last Chest, Shoulders and Triceps workout which is a sad thing because i really enjoy this workout. I really pushed myself today and increased the weight lifted on some exercises and the reps on most.

ARX was great today aswell. cant believe i only have two more of those left aswell !! tomorrow is a fasted plyometrics workout which is my last one of these aswell...and to be honest i am pretty happy about this..it is be far my most hated of the intense workouts because it kicks the crap out of me every time.

Tomorrow is also carb up day again so im shooting for 300 grams of carbs to replenish my glycogen stores before i start a 0 direct carb diet for the last 10 days to get as shredded as possible.

Day 77 - Week 11 Complete

Well today marks the end of week 11. With only 1 more lifting week left then recovery i can see the end in sight !! Stretching was good today because i was SO sore from this weeks workouts. The combination of heat, lower calories and really pushing myself all took a toll on my body and it shows.

I feel a little better from stretching and hopefully with a good night sleep i can be fully refreshed for tomorrows chest, shoulders and arms workout.

Day 76

Today was Kenpo X which was a fasted cardio workout. It was great today i really brought the intensity and used the weights for my arms again to burn more calories. im really starting to see definition now so its pushing me to up the intensity to see greater results. im almost down to the two week mark...scary !!

Day 75

Well today was Legs and Back / ARX. Great workout. i really pushed myself again and pumped out more pull-ups with better form than last week and really went low in my squats all while doing hammer curls and bicep curls. FANTASTIC !!

ARX was good today aswell. i was faster than the video and was waiting for them !! ... never thought i would see the day...

Tomorrow is Kenpo X which is another fasted cardio workout. i have to say i am enjoying the fasted cardio sessions more and more each time i do them because i am upping the intensity and seeing the results i want.

Day 74

Today was Yoga X. Was a good change of pace this week and i enjoyed it. Nothing really exciting to write about. Im noticing a change in body composition though. i am becoming leaner which means my cutting diet is working. I am looking forward to starting to bulk up when i come off p90x though.

Day 73

Shoulders and Arms / ARX....

WOW !! is all i can say. Biggest best pump i have ever felt. i had my carb up yesterday which meant that my glycogen levels were fully up and my muscles were ready for all that was going to be thrown at them and they didnt disappoint. pumped my arms were sporting 15" which is huge for me. (started under 13.5").

ARX was great today too. once again i smashed over 350 crunches and ab moves. tomorrow is Yoga which will be a nice change of pace.

Day 72

Well today was Plyometrics and it was great. Much better than last weeks fasted one. i took 10gms of BCAA's before starting and that stopped any stomach upsets while doing it. I really pushed myself today and was dripping with sweat by the end of it.

All in all a great workout. Today is also Carb Up day which means im taking in most of my calories from carbs to replenish my glycogen levels and pump my muscles back up. This means that tomorrows Shoulders and Arms workout should be the best pump i have ever had. We will see though.

Day 71

Well today was Chest and Back. Best chest and Back ever. I really felt the BCAA's today. i took 10gms right before my workout and i felt my recovery much quicker i was able to really push out the most i have ever on that workout and my pump was unbelievable.

I was doing adleast 2 more reps with weight added to my body, then removing that and pumping out as many as i could do till failure. FANTASTIC !!

ARX was good today too. like previous workouts ive gotten into a rhythm with that workout and its a breeze. i am doing more than the 349 each time and its fantastic.

Tomorrow is plyometrics and im doing it again fasted for the second time. lets hope better results with my BCAA's prior.

Day 70 - Week 10 Complete

Well today marks the end of week 10. what a week. im one week into my cutting / ripped diet and its going well ive probably lost around .5 kg but can see major improvements in body composition. Lets hope im burning fat and building muscle !!

Today was X Stretch. nothing really special here just something my body was crying out for. i am really sore in my lower half from the last 2 days of legs. im going fora really good sleep tonight to maximize tomorrow's chest and back.

Day 69

Well today was Kenpo X and my second last day of week 10. cant believe how quickly these weeks are going now. i will be done in no time.

Kenpo was great today. i again did my cardio fasted but this time took around 5gm of BCAA's before my workout which should stop any muscle breakdown. I didnt feel hungry at all during the workout. im not sure if the BCAA's had anything to do with it but it was much better.

I really pushed myself today and used 1.5kg weights as resistance for my arms again and boy were they on fire.

Day 68

Well today was Legs and Back / ARX. It was great. I really pushed myself again this week and was doing hammer curls and bicep curls while doing various lunges and squats.
The pull-ups again were getting stronger and better. My form suffered slightly today because my arms and back are still sore from wednesday.

However i still managed to pull out 106 pull-ups and 78 of them were weighted. now im happy with that result !!

ARX was great today aswell. i pushed myself and did all the reps. again surpassing the 349 that they do on the screen. i did well over 350.

Tomorrow is Kenpo which i am again doing fasted. But with a slight change. right before my workout i take 5g of BCAA's which should stop any muscle breakdown. so ill just be burning off fat hopefully. until then,

Day 67

Well today was Yoga X and it was great. Probably the best Yoga ive done since i started and that was because i was so focused and had the right frame of mind today for Yoga. I zoned out and really just focused on doing the Yoga. I didnt let anything else worry me or get on my mind.

Tomorrow is Legs and Back which i am looking forward to. Im going to try 2 scoops of N.O. Xplode tomorrow aswell to see what kind of effect it has on me and if my focus, strength and pump increases.

Day 66

Day 66, Back and Biceps. Awesome workout !! i pushed myself, upped my weight and reps and for the first time felt like i really did the proper technique and reps for pull-ups !! they are improving !! Ab Ripper X was great i dominated that one and i feel fantastic. now all that's left is to eat, sleep and grow. whilst hopefully burning fat !!

Day 65

Well today was Plyo and i decided for this last month, to really shred the fat i was going to do my cardio days (tuesdays and Saturdays) fasted. Which means that i do my workout before eating anything for the day. The idea of this is that your glycogen levels are depleted so your body then relies on other sources for energy....namely your fat stores.

Any who, all in all a pretty decent workout. I felt not having any carbs or any food in my stomach. it was rumbling throughout the workout but hopefully i see the results..

I may or may not keep doing this on cardio days. i will evaluate it next week. tomorrow is Back and Biceps which i am looking forward to.

Day 64

All in all a good day however before the workout i was soo pumped that i think i over estimated my performance which didnt match my determination today. however it was still great. I had a great pump and pushed myself to utmost.

Ab Ripper X was good today and i am now pumping through that easily. It was Chest, Shoulders and triceps today which was great. It is my first day of my cutting diet which could have subconsciously made me think i wouldnt perform as well so it screwed me round a bit but hopefully it all works out.

Day 63 - Week 9 complete

Today was was the end of the week and Stretch day. It was great. i am very sore from yesterday's Kenpo and even still from Legs and Back on Friday. So the stretch was just what i needed.

Im looking forward to tomorrow because it is the start of my cutting diet and another week of intense workouts. Im beginning to do the cardio days (Tuesday and Saturday) before breakfast to maximize fat burn and i am stick to a very low carb diet with carb up days once a week.

Day 62

Well today was Kenpo and also my 22nd birthday !!....

Kenpo was great today i really brought the intensity and pushed myself. I used the hand weights again today and from about 10 mins in to it i was in the biggest flop sweat ever !!...it was great.

By the end i was a puddle of sweat and as tony says feeling a million bucks !! tomorrow is stretching then i begin my month of cutting to get completely shredded for day 90 !!! WISH ME LUCK !

Day 61

Well today was Legs and Back and boy o boy it was great. I really pushed myself today, even doing bicep curls and hammer curls while squatting all with higher weights !.

I even did more pull-ups with my weight belt and when i was exhausted, i took the belt off and "belted" out more !!! It was great.

Ab Ripper X was fantastic too. I did 350 which is one more than the video !! and i really pushed it today.

Cant wait for Kenpo Tomorrow, its also my 22nd Birthday so celebrations are in order. New Year, New me !!!

Day 60

Well today is day 60 and nearing the end of week 9. It was Yoga today which to be honest i wasnt really in the mood for. But i still pushed play and completed it. By the end i was happy and relaxed but it was a chore to get into.

Next week i begin my cut diet to get the best results by day 90 which i hope are good. Tomorrow is legs and back which im looking forward to,

Day 59

Well today was Shoulders and arms / abx and it was fantastic. i forgot what a great workout it was. It would probably be my favorite for the lifting ones. It just gives you the best pump ever.

Speaking of pump. When i began p90x i was sitting on 13.5 biceps. today i was over 15" biceps which is just awesome. time to eat and sleep to grow big because 15" cold would be magical. Ab Ripper was great today as well, because i was so pumped with the arm workout i just pushed it like never before and dominated it.

I went up 2.5 kg on my shoulder moves and stuck to 12.5's for my biceps but really tried to pump and hold. technique was key today and it showed in the pump. For the first time i didnt use bands which i think helped alot. i dropped the weight on my tricep exercises to get a full range of motion and technique and it worked a treat.

Day 58

Theres something challenging when you put the words 40 degrees and plyometrics together. That was the challenge that faced me today. We have had 2 consecutive days of 40 degrees and plyo was just a sweltering mess today.

I powered through and even pushed myself further than i ever have on some moves. but BOY O BOY it was difficult. i was sweating all over the place and had a wet towel next to me at all times.

glad its over and i cant wait to do shoulders and arms tomorrow because i really want to push myself and go for gold.

Day 57

Well today is the first day of week 9. It was Chest and Back again which i haven't done since week 3 and there were ALOT of changes to the workout this time around.

1) This was the first time doing Chest and Back with N.O. Xplode.
2) I added Weight to my push-ups and pull-ups.
3) Both Weighted pull-ups and push-ups on the same day.
4) increased push-up weight by 5 kg on second round.

With all these changes i was skeptical on the improvements that would be made but was pleasantly surprised...
Pull-ups are by far my weakest exercise which is weird because my back has had the most growth. Te push-ups were good. i got 10 reps with 10 kg then upped to 15 kg and made 8 reps. Which means i was basically pushing 80kg, which im stoked about. Ab Ripper was hard today. Since i haven't done it for a week and after a VERY intense chest and back i was pooped.... but i still prevailed and nailed all 25 reps for the 11 exercises.

Time to eat and grow...

Day 56 - Week 8 Complete




Well, today marks the end of phase 2, photo day and stretch day. Firstly, as you can see by my pictures....pretty big improvements on the muscle building side of things. i haven't leaned out much, if anything i have gained a little bit of fat. But its all positive steps towards getting bigger. I am happy with the results, especially my back which has blown up.

Stretch day was good today. i am pretty tired and sore from the week so stretching helped alot. I have Chest and shoulders tomorrow which i haven't done since week 3 so i cant wait to see how much improvement i have. im ready to bring it !!

Day 55

Well today was Yoga X and my second last of my second recovery phase. Tomorrow is photo day which will be interesting because ive been trying hard o pack on size so i may not appear leaner but hopefully i will have more mass on me. The final photo's will tell a different story though.

Yoga was good today, although it was hot and i was sweating heaps i pushed myself and really maximized the workout. Tomorrow is stretch day and photo day so until then,

Day 54

Today was Core Synergistics again. MAN i love this workout. There something about it that just makes you feel great afterward. Considering i felt FANTASTIC before hand probably helped, but i just pushed myself like never before. i paused the video a few times. This wasn't due to exhaustion or not being able to complete it. I merely wanted to prepare and rest between some sets to maximize lifts and weights. I was working on size today so i decided to pick a heavier weight and do 8 clean reps with the heavy weight, pause, then continue to pump out the remaining reps. (usually 20-30) with a lighter weight to get the pump. This worked GREAT and i really felt the burn.

Day 53

Nothing to exciting today. Because its recovery week it was stretch day. An hour of stretching is good because it gives my body the rest and stretch that it needs but i am really pumped lately to do full on workouts so the stretch day is just a nothing day to me. i cant wait for tomorrow's core day i am going to really push myself.

Day 52

Well today was Kenpo X. Good fun to say the least. i really pushed it today, far more than ever before. This was because i added weight. thats right !! to a cardio workout i decided to grab some weight plates and hold then during the whole workout !

This worked a treat. I only grasped 1.5 kg plates but still it made a HUGE difference. My arms were burning by the end and i really felt it in my upper back / shoulders and biceps / triceps. Lets hope it helps that little bit more too !!

Day 51

Today was Core Synergistics, one of my favorite workouts. Its a full body workout focusing on core work and strength. I love it because i feel like i give every muscle a bit of a beating without going overboard. I used weights on my push-ups for this one. (wasnt sure i i should considering its "recovery" week) but i did anyway thinking that im taking in enough calories to grow so why not.

This proved great i felt fantastic afterwards and it sure did fatigue my muscles much more than without it.

Tomorrow is Kenpo and i plan to really intensify it. I dont know how i could do it but i would love to add weight to my body for it. maybe just 1 kg to each arm and leg. i will play around with that idea this afternoon and hopefully by tommorow will come up with a solution.

Day 50

Today was the forst day of recovery phase 2 and Yoga X. It was great. i really enjoy Yoga now because the moves arnt impossible and i can now do all the push ups and vinyasa's like the are second nature.

I cant wait for tomorrow because its core synergistics which is one of my favorite workouts and i really want to push it as hard as i can.

Day 49 - Week 7 Complete

Well today is the end of week 7 and the end of my phase 2 lifting weeks. Next week is recovery week again and im really looking forward to core synergistics.

I am officially 1 kg heavier this morning thanks to my weight gainer shakes. (lets hope its muscle :P). This means that i should be able to hopefully get upto around 68-69 kg's before i begin to cut back a little bit for my end photo at 90 days.

I plan on really trying to add mass once im off p90x, incorporating alot more compound lifts and really trying to build my arms and chest.

Today stretch was great. Just what i needed. Both my upper body and lower body is aching at the moment from all the added weight ive been placing on my pbdy for my lifts and pull-ups / push-ups. But stretching made it feel much better.

Day 48

Well today was Kenpo X and m first saturday off in seven weeks.....

Because of that i think i knew that i could really push myself without having work afterward. Because of this, i really brought it today. It was the best Kenpo X i have done and i really want to add wrist and ankle weights to intensify it.

Tomorrow is stretch day and then onto my recovery week. Im now only working one day a week so i have a bit of a break to really try and maximize my muscle gains. Lets hope it works in my favor...!!

Day 47

HAPPY NEW YEAR !! 2010 !

Legs and Back ! love it !!!......was a great workout today. I really pushed myself like never before with the workout. i kept up reps, weight and even did the 10 kg weighted pull-ups which the best form yet.

Ab Ripper was fantastic. for the first time i did all 25 fifer scissors without aid!

Looking forward to tomorrow's Kenpo and my first Saturday off work for about 6 weeks....thank god.
