Day 15

Well today was my last Chest and back till week 9..... i think im going to miss it. Chest and back and Shoulders and Arms are my favorite because they are just basic weight lifting and they give me as tony says "a gorgeous pump !".

Anywho, today is my fist day of my new 2800-3000 calorie diet and so far so good. My breakfast and post workout doesnt change in macro's or calories but each meals afterwards is bigger so we will see from now on. however i am looking forward to eating a little more because although i have been hungry. i miss feeling full.

tomorrow is plyo and im feeling good about it. i will let you know tomorrow after my workout how my first day of 3000 calories really went. Until then....BRING IT !

Day 14 - Week 2 Complete

Well today was X Stretch and the completion of another week. two weeks down already !!
I have not only completed the two weeks but have re evaluated my situation. After only two weeks i feel i have shredded quiet alot of fat but not really gained much muscle mass and as this is my number one priority i have re calculated my calories and diet plan and decided to bump it up to 3000 calories starting tomorrow (week 3)

I will continue this bulk plan for 6-7 weeks and then in the final 4 weeks go on a strict low-carb diet and shred the last remaining body fat.

time to eat big and grow big...

Day 13

Today was Kenpo X again. I got up really early for this one because i had a work shift that i had to do all day and knew i wouldn't get it in any other time. This worked great because im now finished before work, feel fresh and ready to go !..

BRING ON TOMORROW !!

Tomorrow is stretch and then that marks the completion of 2 weeks of the program...wow time flies !

Day 12

Today was Legs and Back. Great workout, i enjoy it because there are no repeat exercises on the legs, on the pull ups so i feel that i can go for my maximum every time without worrying about the second try. i really pushed it today and feel great.

Ab Ripper X also went very well, i am now consistently doing 20 reps per exercise pretty easily. i may even hit the whole 25 by next week ! AWESOME !

Day 11

Well today was my second attempt at Yoga X and i loved every minute of the 1 hr and a half workout. the time went very quickly and i found each move much easier than last week. looking forward to next weeks yoga already.

Just a quick update on my diet, i have not faulted once, i have followed my daily portion approach to a tee and have even come up with some REALLY tasty meals. im not getting sick of it as i am eating different things each day which is what i was worried about in the first place. secondly i have come up with some awesome breakfasts filled with omelets, baked beans, toast and even a glass of milk....and im still in fat shredder !!

Day 10

Shoulders and arms !!

what can i say, every exercise went up 2.5 kg in weight so i am VERY happy. i got max reps where i needed and pushed out another 5 reps on max ones. Stuck to my 8 reps for size on weighted exercises but was lifting heavier. it was great.

Ab ripper was after and what can i say....im now up to 20 reps on each of the 11 exercises which means im doing 240 and they are doing 330...im only 5 reps short of mimicking exactly what they do on the screen !! STOKED !

looking forward to tomorrow, a little bit of calm yoga.

Day 9

well today was day 9 and my second attempt at plyometrics and i am happy to report that although it kicked the crap out of me again and i felt a little ill during, i didn't pause the workout once, i only took the planned 30 second breaks and made it all the way through !!

Very Excited !!!

Day 8

Well today was the start of week 2 and chest and back again. I had to do this workout after a long 9.5 hr day at work so i was tired but i still managed to bust out 2 more reps on every push up and pull up !!! so im getting stronger.

Day 7 - Week 1 complete

Well today was my seventh day and marks my final day for week one !!
today was my first day adjusting my P90X around my work schedule and although im tired now, it worked quite well. I prepared all my meals (3 of them) the night before and took them to work which was fine then planned my workout for after dinner instead of after breakfast.

This worked well and although today was just X Stretch i still had plenty of energy which was a good indication and preparation for tomorrow as i have to do the same thing for week 2 chest and back. Must remember to bring it !!!

X Stretch was great because it focused solely on 1 hr of stretching all the muscles u have given a beating to over the week so now i am relaxed and feel great.

Day 6

Well today was Kenpo X and my second last workout till i complete a whole week and routine. Kenpo was god because it broke away from the weights and stretches and just focused on punching and kicking. This may sound easy but the combination's and amount of reps ad exercises means that you are never stopping and boy does your heart rate race.

For the whole 58 mins i was constantly bringing it and swinging and punching, kicking and blocking, quickly breaking into a sweat and burning loads.

I felt much better today and feel great afterward, i look forward to tomorrows final Stretch day. I do have the option to keep Sundays as rest days but feel that the added stretch exercise workout will benefit me more than hinder.

Day 5

Well today was Legs and Back then Ab Ripper again. First time on Legs and Back and the workout itself wasn't to bad i just wasn't feeling very well throughout the workout. I felt sick in the stomach because i think i started it a little bit early after breakfast. However i finished it and pushed myself to the limit. was a good workout.

Ab Ripper is becoming easier and easier, i am beginning to get into a routine with that one and i think by week two ill be doing 25 on everything and completing the whole 330+ crunches.

Day's 3 & 4

Well i missed my day 3 post because i didnt have access to the internet, but aside from those problems, the workout and diet was 100% on track. it was Shoulders and Arms then Ab ripper on Wednesday then Yoga X on Thursday.

Shoulders and Arms was a great workout because it was just free weights which i could push myself and keep up with because lifting is what im used to. I then had to do ab ripper again and i didnt pause once !! i took advice from a mate and only tried to do 15 reps per exercise and that worked great !! i will push myself for 20 next week !!

Yoga i was skeptical at first. it goes for a full hour and half and although long it flew by, it really is intense and hard and the first part of it has u lifting and twisting your body weight so much its a full workout in its self !!

All in all, two great days and i look forward to tomorrows legs and back, ab ripper exercises, each day i am less sore and can push myself that little bit further.

Day 2

Well today was plyometrics.....

they say its the hardest of all the workouts and i agree....i was pausing to catch my breath constantly but finished the workout and now feel great. i hope that one gets easier as the weeks go on because it literally kicked the crap out of me.

My upper body (chest, shoulders and back) are burning from yesterday, ive never felt sore over so many muscles before. all well no pain no gain.

tommorow brings shoulders and arms....and that dreaded ab ripper x again. lets see if i can get further on the ab workout.

Day 1

Well i officially started my P90X challenge today..

Woke up and started the day with my planned breakfast, then went straight into my first Chest and Back, Ab Ripper X workout. It lasted for about 1 hr 30 mins total. And let me just say, i was not prepared for that !!!

to put it bluntly, it kicked the crap out of me....

according to the video, the Ab workout is around 330 different reps of exercises and boy did i feel it, i had to pause to get back strength but i completed my workouts and am following my diet to a tee.

I haven't felt hungry nor "Full" all day, i have been extremely satisfied never really having that "i need to eat feeling" which is awesome.
I am going to though, after 30 odd days of this diet be CRAVING carbs.....i can predict that already.

Well, that was day 1, 89 to go !!

WISH ME LUCK ! bring on Plyometrics !

Day 0




Well this is my first post and to start things off the day before i begin my P90X challenge. Basically i have planned my nutrition and begun to prepare meals for the week, got my weights, bars and mats ready for my workouts and am about to enjoy my last "free" meal :)..
