Day 46

Yoga today.

It was great. I started nice and early at 6 o clock and what a way to start the day. With a full day of work ahead of me i feel fantastic, relaxed and in the right frame of mind.

I am also very excited as it seems i am fiannly starting to pack on some size and weight ! :D which means i need to really push myself in the coming weeks to get my weight up and as much muscle mass on my body as i can. Wish me luck!

Day 45

HALF WAY !!

Well today marks the half way mark of my journey......time flies.

Today was Back and Biceps and it was great. I upped the weight and did 10 kg weighted pull-ups (they were tough). Ab ripper was great. Did it no problem today and had the energy after the main workout to go straight into it.

Tomorrow i am up super early to do Yoga because of work. this is a bummer but i will fight through.

Day 44

Well today i was 150%....i feel fantastic....

compared to last weeks plyo i blew this one out the water. i feel like i kept up with the whole dvd all the time and was ready to bring it.

It was fantastic. best plyo to date. i feel as if i am getting somewhere with this workout. hopefully by the end i can push myself harder than i ever imagined.

Tomorrow marks the half way stage of this whole journey. i cant believe it went by so fast but so far i havent slipped up once. i have stuck to the program 100% and pushed myself as much as possible.

The weight gainer i added on saturday seems to be going well. its a little bit early to tell but i feel as if i will finally be seeing the scale moving up. im not 100% sure but it seems like it has crept up slightly. i am really feeling it though. its alot of food and i am eating a pretty large meal every 2 hours. but its all worth it. i have a goal and i am going to succeed far beyond p90x.

Day 43

Well today was the first day of week 7 and my final week before my recovery week of phase 2. All is going well except today i am trying to beat a bit of a cold / hay fever thing so my body was probably working at about 80%.

I still managed to up it though. I went to 10kg weighted push-ups. Which were MUCH harder and i increased the weight of my lifts by 2.5 kg.

Ab Ripper was a struggle today because i was so burned out by the time i got to it that i felt i couldnt face it. But i pushed through and did it.

Tomorrow is plyo and i hope my body is back to 100% for that because even on a good day i struggle.

Day 42 - Week 6 Complete

Well today marks the end of week 6 and my stretch day. X Stretch was just what i needed, i feel a little battered and tired so it gave my muscles a day off to just relax. Im hoping for a great sleep tonight so i can really push myself tomorrow in my last chest, shoulders, tri's workout for this phase.

Day 41

Well today was Kenpo X and nearly the end of another week...

It went great and i really pushed myself. I think next week i might try adding resistance to the cardio days just to intensify it even more. I am also begging a muscle building weight gainer today which will pack just over 500 calories into it to help me stay in a calorie surplus.

Day 40

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

Well today is Christmas day and marks my day 40 of p90x. today was Legs and Back and i got up early, celebrated Christmas and got suck straight into my workout. and it was fantastic. I really pushed myself, adding weights to all the squat exercises that tony suggests to, and increasing the weight by 2.5 kg. i even added weight to my pull-ups which were again 5kg. I am going for 10 next week though because the 5's felt very light this time around.

The one day of the program i was really worried about my diet was today because we do a big Christmas family lunch. But with a little bit of adjustment i was able to stick to my diet plan to a tee. So no cheating for me. It was VERY hard as there was ALOT of treats that just looked SOO good.

But i prevailed and stuck to it.

Day 39

Well today is Christmas Eve and my Yoga day. Was a nice day to do Yoga after a pretty hard pounding yesterday. (although im not as sore as i was last week).

Yoga went well, i pretty much know the whole 1hr and a half off by heart and im getting better and better with each session. ach move is becoming easier and im becoming more and more flexible. its great !

I am still leaning out which is kinda weird as i keep increasing calories to bulk but it just doesnt seem to be working. i am thinking maybe incorporating a weight gainer into my day to increase by 600 taking me to around 3400 calories. that should surely do it.

Day 38

Well today was Back and Biceps. I really like this workout. Its ALOT of curls and rows mixed in with 6 sets of pull-ups which really makes you feel the burn in your arms.

as i posted last week my biceps were burning till about Sunday so they took a good 4 days to recover. It will be interesting to see if they hurt again tomorrow.

I feel absolutely fantastic today....its my first day off work for 8 days so i don't have the stress of work later on i just have to eat and rest which im really looking forward to.

I decided this week that i was going to try weighted push-ups on monday and with the success of those i decided to go for less reps, better form and weights on my pull-ups too.

What a difference that made..

I concentrated in the notion that 8-10 builds size, added a 5kg plate and began. I really felt it and i did the full motion this week on pull ups. the corn cobs were the hardest and i struggled to even get 5 done but progress is progress and without pushing myself i wont see results.

On top of that great workout, Ab Ripper X was AMAZING. i can kill that workout now.
i am officially doing the whole workout as they do it, the full 25 on everything. no assistance, no breaks and even all 25 fifer scissors. my leg raises are non assisted. The only move i haven't intensified is the crossed legs/ wide legs sit up. I just cant cross my legs. but that will come in time.

Day 37

Plyometrics - the mother of all the P90X workouts........ i hate it, but i love it..

well today was plyo and after yesterday's really hard, intensified chest, shoulders and triceps workout, im really sore and tired from work so i still pushed it but im stuffed now.

Its defiantly the one workout that just isnt getting any easier, but im still pushing it and hopefully will get a little bit easier as time goes on.

Day 36

Well today was the start of week 2 and chest, shoulders and triceps again. I love this workout. i feel like i really give my upper body a beating and i get a beautiful pump from it.

I took no-xplode this morning and im still buzzing. i also altered my diet again adding 200 calories to increase my muscle gain. im now shooting at over 2900 so im really close to 3000.

I also altered my training a little bit today and i feel it will give me better results. Instead of shooting for more reps on my push-ups i added body weight. I took a 5kg plate and used a belt to strap it to my body so i was effectively lifting 5 more kg on top of my body weight. This worked great. i was doing about 2 less of my reps last week but i felt it MUCH more. especially on the one-arm which i almost couldn't do. Next week im going to strap 10 onto me.

Day 35 - Week 5 Complete

Well today marks the last day of my first week of phase 2 and im really loving this phase.

Today was X Stretch so nothing intense just exactly what my body needed. i still have a dull ache in my biceps from Wednesday (HAHA) and my legs are on fire from Friday's leg day and yesterday's Kenpo; but all in all i feel great.

Im looking forward to tomorrow because im going to attempt to add weight to my push-ups to really push myself and my muscle building.

Day 34

Well today was Kenpo X and it was great. I had a very early start again as i have work again but it was fantastic. I upped the intensity and got into a great rhythm. i am almost at the end of my first week of phase 2 and im really enjoying it. Much more than phase 1. It feels more complete and its giving my muscles a real bashing.

As of next week i am going to add weights to my push-ups and possibly my pull-ups and also add weights to my cardio days. I really want to add intensity as much as possible and EAT EAT EAT.

Day 33

Well today was Legs and Back. with having a week off from this workout and knowing the routine i was able to increase the intensity alot !!

my biceps are still sore from Wednesday which is pretty funny but they hurt :(... i was still able to do 120 pull-ups throughout the whole workout so im stoked !! i also was able to add weights to the squats that tony suggests which i have never done before and i really felt it. GREAT WORKOUT !! i did it really early in the morning as i have work today but now its just work, eat and rest till tomorrow's kenpo.

I want to get some weight bands to add intensity to my cardio and im also thinking of wearing weights for my push-ups on Mondays to add intensity.

Ab ripper X was good today. I really felt it by the end because i pushed myself so hard in the legs and back but still managed all 25 reps of the 11. i even pushed out 1 more than Tony in some of them. so i did more than 349 :P im happy !!

Day 32

Today my biceps ache like they have never ached before.... ive worked biceps pretty hard in the past but never to the point where they hurt the next day. I always thought this was because they were a smaller muscle which could recover quicker (like the abs) but i was wrong. they are so sore and i was worried that i would have trouble today with Yoga and all the vinyasa's.

To my surprise i didnt at all. I took no-xplode for the first time before yoga and it helped me stretch further, focus more and push out a push-up with every vinyasa. LOVED IT !!!

tomorrow is legs and back and im hoping that i can get some better results with tomorrow's pull-ups. im also looking forward to it because im going to try and add weights to most squat exercises to maximize the workout.

Day 31

Today was hard....

not only was it a new routine (back and bi's) but it was also ab ripper x straight after and my chest is still sore from Monday !!

therefore i found pull-ups today really difficult. i pushed it as hard as could and im happy with the results and the weights / reps i lifted i just wish i didnt feel as burnt out as i do...

i still managed 25 reps for each ab ripper and pumped out muscle building 8 rep counts for weighted lifts, my head just wasnt in it which is a shame. but there is always going to be those days !!!

Tomorrow is Yoga and i look forward to a little bit of relaxation in the week.

Day 30

well today was plyo and even with the week off it still managed to kill me. I took no-xplode before my workout and although it gave me that extra boost to get through it, i was still stuffed by the end.

I guess that just means i gave it my all..

looking forward to tomorrow's workout which is back and biceps. its a new workout again and im excited to see how many pull ups i can do with the week off and the aid of no-xplode. Im ready to push it.

Day 29

Well today was day 29 and the start of my phase 2 (energy booster) stage which meant new diet, new workout and hopefully some great results.

As i write this i have completed my workout and had my pre and post workout diet which hasnt changed too much from my first stage except for a piece of fruit before my workout.

My next meal includes the introduction of carbs which im happy about because hopefully after a few days i will hopefully have even more energy to push myself.

The workout today was chest, shoulders and triceps which was awesome. I loved every minute of it and pushed myself as much as i could considering i hadnt done it before and it was new to me. One handed push ups were by far the hardest but i almost got 10 per arm so i was extremely happy.

It was Ab ripper X again today too and having a week off was good. I was glad to see that even after the intense upper body workout i was still able to keep up and did all 25 reps again like my last time.

Looking forward to tomorrow to see if plyo is any easier...(i expect not :P) it is still by far my hardest workout but i love it.

Day 28




Well today arks my final day of fat shredder and the milestone of the 28 day photo. As you can see there is significant difference so i am happy. I have leaned out and my upper chest area has gotten significantly more defined and bigger.

X Stretch was good today and just what i needed. I am really looking forward to tomorrows chest, shoulders and tri's workout along with ab ripper X. I get to start my new Diet structure tomorrow as well which includes alot more carbs so it will be interesting to see how that goes.

Day 27

Well today was my second last day of the recovery week and the second last day of fat shredder. I have to say i really enjoyed Yoga today. It got me in a really calm frame of mind and made me feel great.

I did a push up with every vinyasa which i have never done before and even tony says that people who are still doing push ups by the end is impressive :D....

tomorrow is my last day, and marks photo time for day 28. It is just a stretch day as well so pretty relaxed.

Day 26

Well i got up really early this morning to do my workout and i feel great. Yesterday i said i was really going to push core and i did. i feel like i maximized the workout and gave it my all. I fatigued my body to its max and pushed myself beyond my limits. No-Xplode really helped this morning and with 8 hours of work ahead of me.....i am ready to go.

Tomorrow is Yoga and im looking forward to it. I have only 3 days left of this low-carb diet and then i get to start eating bread, pasta, rice etc which is pretty exciting.

Day 25

Well today is Day 25 and im a little over half a week into my recovery week and all is great. Today was Stretch X and it was nice during the week to just take a day and devote it to stretching and resting. I have to work the next four days so i will be up early to get my workouts done before work.

Tomorrow is Core Synergistics again and im ready to absolutely smash it. I really want to push my self as hard as i can go for this one.

Day 24

Well today was Kenpo X and im starting to really enjoy this workout. The pace is great and the combinations arnt as complicated to remember and get right so i am able to step up the intensity.

My recovery week is going well and im really enjoying it. I am sore from yesterday's core synergistics workout which is a good sign and the no-xplode is still doing the job.

I am really looking forward to the start of next week though. New diet, new workouts and i really feel ready to push myself to build as much muscle mass as i can.

Day 23

CORE SYNERGISTICS !!!! WOW !

By far my favorite workout... you feel great afterwards and during it kicks the crap out of you. I took no-xplode for the second time prior to my workout and im still buzzing. that stuff is amazing and it made my push out 40 push ups without stopping on my first pushup exercise that is almost double my max from chest and shoulders ! WOW.

I now understand why they say pick a light weight...i think i had a bit to heavy weights for some of the exercises so for friday's core day im going to shoot it down a little bit for two of the exercises so i can get the max range of motion and reps.

Day 22

Well today was my first day of my recovery week for phase 1 and it started off with Yoga X which was a nice change for a monday because i am usually very sore from working all weekend and struggle to get through chest and back.

I dont know if i am looking forward to my first photo because i dont think there is going to be much of a change :( but i will keep pushing myself and pushing play everyday.

I look forward to tommorow because its core synergistics which i havent done before so something new.

Day 21 - Week 3 Complete

Well this marks the end of week three and the final day of my phase 3 lifting routine. My week 4 is recovery week which includes; Yoga, Kenpo, stretching and core synergistics which i haven't done yet but looks exciting.

As for today. It was stretch day which was nice and easy and felt really good. I am getting quite flexible and can really feel myself benefiting from the stretching.

I have also bumped my calories back upto 2800. I decided that i am going to stick to this number through till day 70 and then cut up. i really want to maximize my muscle growth.

Day 20

Well today was Kenpo and for my third try at this i really brought it all. For the first time i feel like i actually brought the intensity and pushed myself to the limit in this workout. In all breaks i was running on the sport, doing the jumping jacks etc that they were doing with hardly any breaks. IT WAS FANTASTIC !!

I have to say, today was also my first day trying NO-Xplode which is a pre workout intensifier and i could tell. i am still buzzing with energy and feeling fantastic. Cant way to try a resistance workout because i think my lifts are going to be off the chart !!!!

Day 19

Well today was Legs and Back. Started off a little slow. i was sluggish and i have a feeling it may be to do with too much food. i have decided to cut it down a little bit by 300 calories back to 2500 and see how that fairs. I should still be in a surplus of calories but hopefully it wont leave me bloated and putting on fat as quickly.

I have also decided to try NO-Explode as a pre-workout intensifier to see if my results during my workout can improve.

Today was also my last Ab Ripper X workout till week 5 believe and i totally pushed it.......I FINISHED all 25 reps which means i did, like tony 349 ab exercises ! WOO !
I was sore afterward and it killed me during but i even managed to do the bonus 10 at the end. i am so happy.

Tomorrow is Kenpo and once again, because i have work :( i have to get up very early to get my workout in before work. will keep you updated and until then,

Day 18

Today was Yogo X and it felt great. I am becoming more flexible and stronger so i can hold the poses longer and with better form. The 1 hr and a half flies every time and its probably one of my favorite workouts of the week.

Onto the Diet side of things. Im going to weigh myself at the beginning of the reconvery week and if i feel i have gained too much i am going to drop my diet down to by 300 calories back down to 2500. as i feel i may have increased it a little to much. the scale will tell though.

Day 17

Shoulders and arms !! By far my favorite! it gives you the biggest pump and its just basic weight lifting. Good exercises and you feel stuffed afterwards. I pushed it this week and maxed out my reps on chair dips and so on. I used black bands (the hardest) and they were great.

Once again i don't have Shoulders and arms till week 9 now so ill be doing something else as of week 5 but its time to BRING IT !

Ab Ripper X went great aswell i am now upto 22 reps each exercise.....im ALMOST at their 25 rep range.

Day 16

Well today was week 3 Plyometrics and once again it kicked the crap out of me. although each week i can do the exercises better and for longer, it just means im pushing myself more and more so i get even more wrecked.....

i hate it..but i love it.

The diet side of things is going well. My first day of my new bulk diet at 2800 cals meant i was VERY full yesterday. it was alot of food but if it pays off, i should be building muscle in no time.

BRING ON shoulders and arms tomorrow which will be an early morning workout.
